Serendipity ---
Three and a half years ago, when I moved to the lovely town of Hampstead, I was out walking my dogs around town enjoying the fresh air and exercise. I had left my career as a clinical dietitian a few years earlier and studied photography at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. As I passed this cute little brick building I turned to my husband and said, "someday that is going to be my studio". I don't even know where those words came from....he responded, "oh really, I wouldn't put it past you". Many serendipitous moments later, here I am! I strive to make the studio feel like a place that you can feel totally comfortable and relaxed while confident that you will love your portraits!


In 2008, I become a Certified Professional Photographer. The program tests technical knowledge through a rigorous written examination, and practical knowledge through a 20-image portfolio of work judged by a panel of master photographers.

Professionally, I am an active member and Director on the Board of the Professional Photographers of New Hampshire
as well as a member of the Professional Photographers of America. Marilyn is continually attending workshops to hone
her skills and talents. She competes regularly and has received 3 Fuji Masterpiece awards as well as a Kodak Gallery Award.
